Statement
Larkin's work is intelligent and thought provoking, often including wit and whimsey. For years she's used art to process women's and racial issues, as well as healing from cancer; transmuting the energy of the chaotic and painful into the poignant, beautiful, powerful, and sometimes comical. Her current work offers relief from world chaos with the whimsy of imagined animals in her Funny Animal book for children.
